This is the first formal meditation and considered the first foundation of mindfulness practice.  The body scan purposely brings attention to the body.  Approach this exercise in attention with openness and curiosity of your experience. Find the willingness to be with whatever arises.

The Mountain Meditation is designed to be a grounding exercise that connects you to your inner strength and stability, in the face of challenging or stressful circumstances.

A sitting meditation, using the breath as an object of concentration brings us back to the present moment.

This meditation focuses on expanding awareness to include sounds, breath, body sensations, thought and emotion, with an emphasis on discomfort and acceptance of whatever arises.

 

 

Working with judgmental tendencies, the loving-kindness meditation generates feelings of compassion for ourselves and others.
