Welcome to The MindfulWomen Project. Susan Bowen created The MindfulWomen Project to inspire emotional intelligence, self compassion, and growth through the practice and teaching of mindfulness. She is passionate about demystifying mindfulness and helping you find ways to integrate the practice of mindfulness and self compassion into your everyday life.
Susan has a Master of Arts degree in Counseling and Psychology, with specialized training and experience in treating addictive behaviors and healing trauma. She and her husband of more than 30 years reside in California with their family by birth and adoption. It is there that Susan is licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist, and works as a psychotherapist, consultant, and mindfulness teacher in private practice.
The richness of life, lessons learned, and curiosity about the human spirit and mind have set the foundation of her work. Her training, experience and on going practice of mindfulness meditation and yoga supports her as an expert companion, guiding your experience of what it means to live in the present moment.
